A mining contractor running Chinese-built heavy trucks at high altitude needed replacement engines to keep the fleet running through a multi-year contract.

Trucks of two different makes used different engines, and the contractor had no local dealer support. They needed complete engine assemblies ready to drop in, with electronic control units and wiring, plus a stock of high-wear parts.

Fourteen trucks were returned to service without local dealer involvement. The contractor now orders high-wear parts on a quarterly basis.
